Poetry and Human Rights/A Web Resource

Check out this site, that attempts to dovetail the study of human rights with the cultural work of poetry. In one section, called "Crimes Against Humanity," you'll find an examination of poems by W.H. Auden, Louis Johnson, Evangeline Patterson, and Douglass Dunn, with ample notes and commentary. Though the focus of poetry is Anglocentric (basically English poets are represented), you will find a good place to begin working through the ways in which poets have contributed to a discussion of human rights.
